CHILD-PARENT PSYCHOTHERAPY

WHAT IS CPP?

The mission of Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is to provide services and resources that help young children and families recover and heal after stressful and traumatic events.

CPP is an evidence-based treatment model for young children from birth through age five and their parents/caregivers. It can provide the following:

  • Support for family strengths and relationships
  • Help for families to heal and grow after stressful experiences
  • Respect for family and cultural values

HOW DO YOUNG CHILDREN SHOW US THEY NEED HELP?

Use the CPP symptom screener to consider therapeutic intervention and support. This is a tool to help parents/caregivers and providers think about ways that children may show us that they need help.

“ENTER INTO CHILDREN’S PLAY AND YOU WILL FIND THE PLACE WHERE THEIR MINDS, HEARTS, AND SOULS MEET.”
