WHAT IS CPP?
The mission of Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is to provide services and resources that help young children and families recover and heal after stressful and traumatic events.
CPP is an evidence-based treatment model for young children from birth through age five and their parents/caregivers. It can provide the following:
- Support for family strengths and relationships
- Help for families to heal and grow after stressful experiences
- Respect for family and cultural values
HOW DO YOUNG CHILDREN SHOW US THEY NEED HELP?
Use the CPP symptom screener to consider therapeutic intervention and support. This is a tool to help parents/caregivers and providers think about ways that children may show us that they need help.
